Macbook Pics
Lets start with the monitor. It sure is glossy but for a typical room light I don’t see this as a problem. I cannot see any annoying reflection from where I would normally use the monitor.
Now lets compare it with my old iBook
No need to say. It’s brighter than the old iBook. Next, the keyboard.
I really love this keyboard. As a hobbyist programmer, I love this keyboard. It’s more responsive than the iBook’s one. But, please note that keyboard fondness issue is subjective and vary from person to person. Next, the touchpad
it’s about 25-50% wider than the iBook’s one. Also, I feel that the palm rest and the monitor rim are not made from the same material as the iBook one. I hope this new material won’t crack again.(my iBook display rim was cracked :’( )
You can notice that there is no more latch just the magnet. It closes pretty tightly.
Also, you can see that the rubber button at the corner of the screen is now gone.(sorry for the focus) Now, lets look at the thickness of the MacBook
Next, the iSight, the remote receiver and the sleep light.
Lets look at the bottom of this machine. The little buttons which supports iBooks are now replaced with a thin patch of rubber which is nice since I lost one of those little buttons on my iBook. However, I’m a little worried about the air ventilation of the MacBook.
The battery is riduculously long and the battery removal dial is changed to a plastic one.
Last the speakers(on both sides) and the way MacBook can get the air out(behind the screen hinge)
